KSB Wins 4th Tertiary Business Sense Challenge

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) School of Business (KSB) has won the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) Version 4.0 held on Thursday, 6th October 2022 at the National Theatre, Accra.

The TBSC, the fourth in its series themed: “The Role of Business Students in Shaping National Economic Discourse” was sponsored by MTN Ghana, CompuGhana, Accra Brewery Limited, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Goil Ghana, McVities, and GLICO Life.

The KNUST School of Business emerged as the overall winner of the contest after five rounds with 53.2 points, trailed by the University of Cape Coast (UCC) with 47.7 points and the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), with 30.2 points.

The KNUST team was represented by Miss Vivian Nsiah Nyantah, Mr. Lord Kelvin Atisu, and Mr. Eric Fosu, coached by Professor Ishmael Fuseini, Professor Henry Kofi Mensah, Mr. Epiphany Annaba, and Mr. Osborn Nii Nartey.

At the end of the competition, Mr. Lord Kelvin Atisu and Miss Vivian Nsiah Nyantah were declared the 2022 best male and female contestants respectively. The KNUST team received Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS10,000) as a cash prize, Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS30,000) insurance package from GLICO Life Insurance, and received souvenirs from MTN, and PwC. 

The TBSC is aimed at developing the minds of business students to be abreast with issues relating to business and how the economy would help build successful business careers in the future. The event, which has grown to become one of the most sought-after competitions among tertiary business schools in the country seeks to engender healthy competition among the various tertiary business schools across the country. It also keeps students updated on the developments within the business industry and the economy to make informed decisions.
